Luyanda Mining operates across mining, trading, and distribution of key minerals throughout Southern Africa, supplying both regional and international markets.
We mine and supply manganese, chrome, coal, and copper from operations in South Africa and Zambia. Our coal operations in Mpumalanga support monthly supply volumes of 30,000 to 65,000 tons, while manganese and chrome products are supplied to established trading partners and export markets.
Strategically located operations within close proximity to processing facilities allow for efficient preparation and consistent quality control. Products are supplied under flexible commercial terms, including Free on Truck (FOT) and customised arrangements.

Manganese (Mn)
We mine, supply, and ship high-grade
manganese ore (42–65%) from Zambia.
Locally, we supply smelters within
Zambia and rail some of the product to
Tanzania (Dar es Salaam) via TAZARA,
where it is shipped to clients’
destinations based on agreed terms.
We also supply manganese from South
Africa (Northern Cape) and ship it
through Saldanha Bay.
Chrome (Cr²O³)
We supply processed chrome (concentrate:
40–53%), sourced and supplied from South
Africa and Zimbabwe.
We process chrome ore and sell it to both
local and international clients in South Africa
and Zimbabwe.
We mine chrome for processing and
supply, operating in South Africa and
Zimbabwe.
Coal Mineral
We have access to approximately 6
million tons of thermal and anthracite
coal yet to be mined in South Africa,
currently under our possession.
At present, we mine coal from Witbank,
producing ROM (Run of Mine) coal with
qualities ranging from 19 to 24–27 CV.
Copper
Cu (Copper) we offer:
Concentrate; Cathodes as well the Ore
that we mine and process in Zambia and
DRC but can be supplied from any of the
countries.
Luyanda is actively involved in the mining, trading, and distribution of key minerals across Southern Africa, supplying both regional and international markets.
Manganese
We mine and supply Manganese Ore (ROM 40–65%) from Luapula Province in Zambia. This product is supplied to established trading partners and is primarily exported to Asian markets via the Port of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Chrome
Our Chrome Ore (ROM 30–38%) and Chrome concentrate (40%+) are sourced from the North West Province in South Africa. These products are supplied to select clients for both local processing and export markets.
Coal
Coal is sourced from Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, with ROM grades ranging between 23–27 CV. We currently supply more than five clients on a monthly basis, with volumes ranging from 30,000 to 65,000 tons.
In support of long-term supply, Luyanda has secured mining permits equivalent to:
Approximately 6 million tons of coal
Around 500,000 tons of chrome in South Africa
Two copper mining permits in Zambia
Five manganese permits in Zambia
Processing & Logistics
Our coal mining operations are located within a 10–40 km radius of established processing facilities, including wash plants and coal processing plants in the Witbank area. This strategic proximity enables efficient processing, reduced turnaround times, and consistent quality control before delivery.
Products can be supplied under various commercial arrangements, including Free on Truck (FOT) and other customised terms, depending on client requirements. This flexibility allows us to meet diverse operational and logistical needs across our client base.
